Olgaç Achievement Award” presented to their winners at the opening ceremony.
Nilüfer Aydan is this year's winner
of “Flying Broom Honor Award."

for the following reasons: Aydan has worked hard in the Turkish cinema for 52
years, adapted to the new Turkish cinema successfully despite having come from
the Yeşilçam tradition, retained her independent identity and free spirit
without endeavoring to be a star even when she was at the height of her career,
never lost her obsession with cinema, and still continues to create original
and different characters in cinema.
In
the name of Bilge Olgaç, the symbol of women who have succeeded in realizing
their dreams despite all the disadvantages of being a woman in the world of
cinema which belongs to men, Flying Broom International Women's Film Festival
accords “Bilge Olgaç Achievement Award”
to Meral Çetinkaya this year for the
following reasons: her strong and impressive performance in the films she has
acted in, her proving the prominence and value of character acting once more
with the unforgettable characters she has created with care and depth even in
side roles, and the effort she has spent in cinema.
