In this masculine land, where being born, living and producing as a woman is a major struggle, since 24 January 1996 Flying Broom has been trying to promote nonviolence against violence and equality against inequality. We’ve been working to make the power and labor of women to be noticeable and help them to transform life. We would like to announce our 12th birthday to everyone with whom we walked, stood and worked together and extend our warmest wishes to share many years to follow. Happy Birthday to Us!

Women Drivers are 7 Times More Environment Friendly

Ibrahim Demir, the head of Environment Protection and Preservation Department at the Istanbul Municipality, reported to the Turkish Grand National Assembly Global Warming Commission that the women follow the traffic rules and don’t use the gas pedal as much as men, who are agressive drivers.

Poyraz selected as "The Best Balkan Film"

Poyraz, a first film by Belma Baş, was awarded as “the Best Balkan Film” at the 13th International Drama Short Film Festival, held between 17-23 September 2007 in Greece. The premiere for Poyraz was held at the May 2006 Cannes Film Festival’s Official Selections and the film has represented Turkey in over 50 festivals on 6 continents ever since.
